Your Sign, Up Level and Secure
Sign installation in Aiken is the last step and the one everyone sees. A well designed sign only pays off once it is mounted straight, fixed solid and placed where people can read it. Our crew comes to you with the tools to handle installs on buildings, monuments and storefronts, and we treat your job as if the name on the sign were ours.
Signs We Built, Signs We Did Not
We install what we build, and we also put up signs made elsewhere. If you ordered a sign online or inherited one with the building, you can still call us to get it on the wall.
- New signs: wall lettering, storefront signs, cabinets, post and panel signs and monuments.
- Signs made elsewhere: tell us what you have, and we will plan the mounting around it.
- Moves: our sign relocation work takes a sign down at the old address and puts it up at the new one.
- Repairs: if a sign needs work before it goes back up, our sign repair service can take care of it.
How Install Day Runs
- We survey the site. We measure, check the mounting surface and work out how we will reach the spot.
- We sort out the permit. That paperwork is ours on most exterior jobs, through our sign permit service, and it comes before the sign goes up.
- We set the layout. We mark the placement so the sign lands where you agreed.
- We mount it. The sign goes up level and secure, and an old sign comes down first if the job calls for it.
Your Quote Comes From the Site
Install pricing comes down to the sign and the site: its size and weight, the surface it mounts to, how high it goes and whether we need a lift. Taking down an old sign or working around electrical access adds to the scope. We give you a free, no-obligation quote and a clear timeline, and the sign cost guide gives you more background.
Planned for Your Town and Your Season
Placement is where local code shows up on install day. The City of Aiken says projecting signs must sit at least 8 feet above a sidewalk and project no more than 6 feet. Unincorporated Aiken County sets vehicle-area signs at least 14 feet above grade and pedestrian-area signs at least 8 feet. The city also prohibits signs attached to trees, poles, rocks or roofs, so the mounting surface counts as much as the height.
Timing matters too. A City of Aiken sign permit expires 180 days after issuance unless the sign is completed, with one extension of up to 60 days possible. In Augusta, a permit is needed before a sign is put up or materially altered, and each permitted sign gets a decal. Because a permit or review may be required on your job, confirm with the local planning office for your address before install day.
Summer here also brings localized afternoon thunderstorms, which can move an outdoor install day. Our crew serves Aiken, North Augusta and the surrounding CSRA.
