Real Signs on Real Aiken Businesses
Aiken is home, and the signs in Aiken that carry our work are the best pitch we have. We installed a sign for Fire Shaka Hawaiian BBQ here. We handled the sign install at the Peach Cobbler Factory storefront. We put signage and decals on the Taste Of Gold Cakery trailer, which another shop wrapped. You can see what we build on our work page.
Nobody here reports to a franchise office. Chris Wade owns the shop, and his crew does the design, the build and the install. We are also members of the Aiken Chamber of Commerce.
Downtown Storefronts Worth Stopping For
Laurens Street is where antique hunters go looking for shops, and a downtown business sells to people on foot. A storefront sign has to read from across the street and still look right up close at the door. Window graphics do the near work: your name, your hours and your offer right on the glass.
Trees are part of the job here. Live oaks line South Boundary Avenue, so we check the view from the street before we settle on size and placement. A sign that looks fine on a drawing has to look fine under the shade too.
Your Name Readable From Whiskey Road
Retail and dining run along both Whiskey Road and Richland Avenue, and most of your audience there is reading from the driver’s seat. City rules generally hold a lot to one freestanding sign, so that one sign has to carry the whole message.
A post and panel sign stands at the curb with your name and number. A monument sign marks your property with more weight. If you already own a sign that has dimmed or faded, sign repair can bring it back with new lighting, a new face or an updated copy panel.
Trucks That Sell All Over Town
Your truck goes everywhere your storefront cannot. A vehicle wrap turns it into a sign that follows you to every job, and we come to you for the measuring and the design.
That truck will not stay inside the city limits for long. We work the same way in North Augusta, Graniteville and New Ellenton, so one shop can cover the sign on your building and the graphics on your fleet.
Made for an Aiken Summer
July highs here run around 93 degrees, and the city takes about 51 inches of rain a year. We talk through materials and mounting with that weather in mind, so your sign is ready for the place it will live.
City of Aiken Permits, Off Your Desk
A sign permit is required inside city limits unless the sign is exempt. Applications call for scaled elevation drawings, and a freestanding sign also needs a property survey. Downtown and historic overlay properties may carry extra review, so ask the city about yours.
A permit or review may be required, so confirm with the City of Aiken, or with Aiken County Planning and Development if your lot sits outside city limits. Our sign permits service covers that work on most exterior jobs, and the Aiken sign rules guide lays out each office.
