Bring the Sign You Paid For
Sign removal in Aiken is often the first step of good news: a new space, a bigger shop or a better location. If you are relocating your business, we can take your existing sign down, store it if needed and reinstall it at the new address. Businesses that invested in a quality sign want to bring it with them, and we make that a simple order.
We also take signs down for good when a sign has done its job. Tell us whether yours is moving or retiring and we will plan from there.
Down, Stored and Back Up
What we can do for your move:
- Removal: we take your sign down from the wall or the posts.
- Storage: if the new space is not ready, we can hold on to your sign until it is.
- Reinstallation: we put it back up at your new location, level and secure.
- Remounting: a sign that needs to shift on the same property can be moved and remounted.
It does not matter who built it. Our installation work covers existing signs as well as ours.
A move is also a natural time for a refresh. While your sign is down, we can update copy panels with a new address or phone number, replace burned out lighting and repaint faded lettering through our sign repair service. If it no longer suits the new building, we can design new exterior signs to go with or replace it.
How Your Move Runs
- Tell us both addresses. We look at the sign where it is and the wall or spot where it is going.
- We plan the timing. You get a free quote, and we talk through your move date and whether storage makes sense.
- We take it down. Our crew removes the sign and gets it ready for the trip.
- We put it back up. Once the new location is ready, we reinstall the sign and leave it secure.
A Quote Built on Both Addresses
The quote is free and carries no obligation. Price follows the sign’s size and weight, how it is mounted, how high it sits, the distance between addresses, whether it needs storage and what the new mounting spot needs. A small wall sign going across town is a very different job from a large freestanding sign. For planning numbers on new signs, so you can compare, see our sign cost guide.
Your Sign Moves When You Do
City of Aiken code keeps signs on the premises of the business they name, and off-site advertising is prohibited, so your sign belongs at your new address anyway. The new building may have different limits. In the city, wall signs may cover up to 20% of the front surface and 25% of a side or rear surface, and freestanding signs are generally limited to one per lot. So we check that the sign fits the new spot before anyone climbs a ladder.
A permit or review may be required for the reinstall, so confirm with the city or county office for the new address. We handle the permit paperwork on most exterior jobs. In Augusta, a sign permit comes before installing a sign, so a move across the river is worth planning early. We serve moves between Aiken, North Augusta, Augusta and nearby towns.
