Every Visitor Finds the Right Door
Wayfinding signs in Aiken do one job your staff will notice right away: they stop the same question from reaching the front desk all day. A clear set takes a first-time visitor from the parking lot to the right suite, room or service counter without help. We design, build and install them for offices, clinics, commercial buildings and larger properties with more than one way in.
This fits any building where people need a little direction. Think shared office buildings, a practice with several suites, or a property with a separate entrance for deliveries.
From the Road to the Room
We make wayfinding as a set, so each piece looks like it belongs with the next:
- Hallway and directional signs that point people through the building.
- Room and suite signs that confirm they have arrived.
- ADA signs with braille for room identification, made to the ADA standard.
- Post and panel signs that guide visitors across the property from the road.
- Lobby signs to set the look that the rest of the set follows.
Legibility comes first. The ADA standard calls for visual characters with a non-glare finish, light on dark or dark on light, and that is a sound way to lay out any sign meant to be read on the move. We work from your logo and brand guidelines so the set still looks like your business and nobody else’s.
How We Plan Your Route
- We walk it. We come to your property and follow the path a first-time visitor takes, taking measurements as we go.
- We mark the decision points. Every spot where someone has to choose a direction goes on the sign list.
- We draw the set. You get proofs with the wording, sizes and locations to review and adjust.
- We build and install. Our crew mounts each piece level and secure, in the spot on the plan.
Priced by the Sign List
The quote is free, and it follows the sign list we build together. The count, the sizes, the materials, whether any signs need tactile lettering and braille, and how many signs go outdoors all shape it. A small office may need a few well-placed signs, and a large property may need many more, so we quote your route and not a package. Need more signs later? The same layout makes them easy to match. Our sign cost guide gives planning figures for setting a budget.
Outdoor Signs That Fit Local Rules
Directional signs on the grounds come under local sign rules. In unincorporated Aiken County, a project with multiple contiguous lots, multiple uses or several frontages needs a common-signage plan approved before a permit. The same county code asks for at least 14 feet above grade in vehicle areas and 8 feet in pedestrian areas. Inside the City of Aiken, freestanding signs are generally limited to one per lot and may not project into the right-of-way.
A permit or review may be required for your outdoor pieces, so confirm with Aiken County Planning and Development or the city. We handle the sign permit paperwork on most exterior jobs, whether your property is in Graniteville, North Augusta or Aiken itself. For a full set inside a practice, see signs for medical and dental offices.
