How much it costs to wrap a car in SC depends on how much of the vehicle gets covered and how much design goes into it. Wraps run from a few hundred dollars for lettering and decals to several thousand for a full custom wrap. That span works in your favor, because there is a right-sized option for your car, truck or van. The truck in the photo above started with a red cab and a plain black body. The finished red and black job is on our vehicle wraps page.
Planning Numbers Before You Call
Industry planning figures list full wraps at about $1,500 to $5,000 for gloss or solid color, partial and lettering jobs from about $1,000, and material alone at about $8 to $12 per square foot. Those are published planning figures, not our prices. Your number often lands somewhere else depending on the vehicle and the design, so treat them as a starting point for your budget.
Five Choices That Move a Wrap Price
- Vehicle size. A midsize SUV carries more surface than a small car, and a van or a work truck carries more again. More surface means more film and more install time.
- Coverage. A full wrap covers the whole vehicle. Partial wraps, spot graphics and cut vinyl lettering cover less, and they cost less.
- Design. Simple lettering from a logo you already have takes less time than a full custom layout built from scratch.
- Film and finish. Gloss or solid color is the usual starting point. A color change wrap and smaller details like accents, stripes, mirror wraps and chrome delete each price on their own.
- Prep. If old graphics are still on the vehicle, wrap removal comes first. An old decal, faded vinyl, unwanted lettering or a full wrap all come off.
Those choices stack. A small car with cut lettering and a van with a full custom design are both wrap jobs, and they sit at very different points in the budget, which is why we quote each vehicle on its own.
A Partial Wrap Can Carry the Whole Message
You do not need full coverage to look sharp. A partial wrap paired with good lettering often gives a business the look it wants for less, and it still puts your name, phone number and logo where people see them. You can start with cut lettering on one truck and add from there. We work with single vehicles and full fleets, so the plan can grow as the business does.
A Wrap Keeps Paying You Back
A wrapped work truck is one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising a local business can buy, because it works every mile you drive. A properly installed wrap also protects the paint under it. A full wrap typically lasts 5 to 7 years under normal conditions, and our guide on how long wraps last covers the care that gets you there. Still weighing a repaint? We lay out wrap vs paint side by side.
Three Details That Sharpen Your Quote
Your quote is free, and these details help us get it right:
- The year, make and model of the vehicle, or the list if it is a fleet.
- What you want on it, from a logo and phone number to full coverage.
- Your logo file if you have one. If you are starting from scratch, our design help covers that.
